Also, any potential candidates should possess a willingness to listen to anecdotes about bicycles, computers, dogs, and dirty underwear. Having a second home in a tropical location, a plus.

craigslist if awesome. it's like the trading post of the internet. free listings for people to buy/sell/trade stuff or just to seek strictly platonic relationships ;)
